It all started when...
I worked as a lawyer and was completely bored by the average corporate ensembles I saw around me.
My style changed dramatically after I returned from a holiday to Italy. I was blown away by the men's flair, particularly in Milan and Florence.
What struck me most was the confidence of these men to wear such outrageous ensembles.
The double breasted suits, the colours, the loafers and monks, the Italian silk ties worn in different ways and of course the perfect imperfections.
The way they had that 'I don't give a fuck' look when walking to the office in a linen blazer, white chinos and tassled loafers really struck me.
It made me think, 'why can't I do this in Melbourne?'
You see, in Australia fashion is seen as a feminine pursuit by most Aussie blokes.
The tall poppy syndrome exists in droves and the attitude has been: "why are you trying to stand out?".
The Italian men have the opposite attitude.
After my trip, I realised nothing is more boss than a man who is comfortable with himself and doesn't care what others think.
Influenced by what I saw overseas and online, I began to alter my own own style in 2014.
I hope you enjoy!
